Practising therapeutic work in isolation can be challenging, particularly across Lincolnshire’s unique rural geography. The Lincolnshire Counselling Association (LCA) was established to bridge geographical boundaries, reduce professional isolation, and build an inclusive, county-wide network rooted in mutual support and excellence within practice.

As an independent membership organisation, LCA complements national body registrations by providing accessible local CPD, meaningful peer connections, and a collaborative community for practitioners at every stage of their career.

The Lincolnshire Counselling Association has been designed around the specific needs of practitioners working within Lincolnshire. Whilst national organisations play an essential role in setting professional standards and supporting the profession across the United Kingdom, LCA focuses on creating meaningful local connections that recognise the unique characteristics of the county and its professional community.

The Association combines professional development, networking, collaboration and practitioner wellbeing within a single membership organisation that is both locally rooted and future focused. It seeks to create opportunities that are practical, accessible and directly relevant to members' everyday professional lives.
